Can Safety Cables be Used Instead of Safety Chains on Trailer

Are safety cables acceptable/legal as a replacement for trailer safety chains? Thank you!

Yes you can use safety cables in place of safety chains as long as they are rated for the weight of the trailer. Chains are typically a little easier to use in this application though since you can manipulate the length of them easier by twisting them but you can use a cable set like the part # C80151 if you wanted. These have a 5,000 lb capacity.
