Question:
Hello, I have two Vibe Yellowfin kayaks 32inch wide and just a regular little super lightweight 8foot sit in Dolphin. Would you think I can carry all three on the low bar w/ two in saddles? I like the storage set up on this trailer and easy on/off is why Im getting a trailer in the first place so elevating one kayak to 2nd bar is not ideal. Thanks for your thoughts

Helpful Expert Reply:
The Malone # MPG550-U MegaSport Kayak trailer has crossbars that are 86 inches long. If you place your two larger kayaks in the saddles, and the saddles are adjusted to the kayaks sit right up against each other, you'll still have 22 inches of crossbar space left. You can even increase this by moving the outer saddles to the ends of the crossbars, then move the inner saddles outward until the kayaks sit how you want them. This will cantilever a portion of the kayaks past each edge, but it will maximize the available crossbar space. So, the answer will ultimately depend on the width of your 3rd kayak.
To carry the 3rd kayak, you could use a crossbar pad like # MPG314 from Malone, along with straps such as part # MPG307-9 to secure the .
