Question:
Hi. Ive got a lifted with California rake sag 2010 Ford Ranger XLT Super Cab. Im looking at the Sumo bump stoppers for towing but dont know which one. I recently rented a Braxton Creek Bushwhacker 10SS tear camper for a trip. After hitching I noticed the sag was sketchy. So much so I ended up buying a new hitch just to get a few more inches of clearance for piece of mind. Dry weight of the camper is 1380 with gross being around 2300. Which stops should I go with?

I definitely recommend going with the bump stop jounce-style springs that you are referring to as these require no maintenance and are very easy to install. They drastically reduce rear sag and also help with the overall handling of your truck. Your two options for your 2010 Ford Ranger are the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs - Rear Axle # SSR-113-40 and the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System # TFRR050A. The SumoSprings have a weight capacity of 1,000lbs which would be good for light duty use. I recommend going with the Timbren setup instead since they have a weight capacity of 3,000lbs and will be more heavy duty to allow your camper and other trailers to be towed safely.
If you have a lift or level kit, then you will need to measure that kit to determine exactly how much lift has been added. You can then use Timbren 1/2" Spacer # TA25722-90P00 or Timbren 1" Spacer # A25723-90AH00 or even both depending on what lift you have.
While this suspension enhancement system will help out a lot with rear sag and handling of the truck, keep in mind that it is also recommended to use a weight distribution hitch when your trailer weighs 50% of your truck's weight. This will keep your truck and trailer leveled and reduce trailer sway. If you do not already have one then the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System w/ 4-Point Sway Control - 4,000 lbs GTW, 400 lbs TW # EQ37040ET would work well for your application. It fits 2" receivers and comes with a 2" ball. You will want to use Thin Walled Socket for Equal-i-zer Hitches # EQ70-00-4800 to install the hitch. I have included demonstration videos for you to check out.
