Features to know about

Keep Your Truck Level Under Load: Pre-Activates the Lower Overload Springs

Heavy loads can make the rear sag and throw off your steering and braking. The TorkLift StableLoad Suspension Upgrade w Quick-Disconnect engages your lower overload springs early to evenly distribute weight and maintain a level stance. The angled, tapered stainless-steel wedges fill the gap between your leaf springs and overload springs so they stay active right from the start. That extra support keeps your truck steady when hauling or towing, cutting down on sway, bounce, and bottoming out.

Switch Between Loaded and Empty Rides Fast: Quick-Disconnect Hinged Design

You don’t have to give up ride comfort when you’re not towing. Each StableLoad unit mounts on a hinge and can be pivoted in or out of engagement with a standard 3/8" ratchet extension. When you’re hauling or towing, lock them into place for full support. When you’re unloaded, disconnect them in seconds to return to your stock ride feel. It’s a clean, mechanical design that works without air pressure or complicated controls.

Hold Up Through Weather and Work: Stainless Steel Construction

Built from stainless steel, these StableLoads handle corrosion, moisture, and road grime without rusting or seizing up. That means they’ll keep working season after season in any climate. The set includes four units with all necessary hardware and specially treated cobalt drill bits for clean installation through lower overload leaf springs no wider than 3-3/8". Once they’re bolted on, they’re part of the truck—ready whenever you load up again.

Work Smarter with Other Suspension Upgrades: Complements Air Bag Systems

If you already run air bags, adding StableLoads helps balance out the load support. By carrying part of the weight through the overload springs, you won’t have to inflate your air bags as much to stay level. That keeps your factory suspension working as designed while still preventing bottoming out under heavy payloads. Together they deliver stability, traction, and control that stays consistent through every mile.

Great product

by:

Looks good, waiting for weather to improve so can install and go test it out.
Received them three days sooner than first thought, yeah!

by:

Order arrived quickly. Everything that is supposed to be there is there.

by:

They move around should come w spacer b lanks

by:

Great product, the holes for the small bolts to stop it from twisting were just a hair to narrow for my 2005 f350 superduty. Had to bore them out a bit to get a fit. Other than that great and simple install

by:

Using this on an F350 w/ a Truck camper towing a 16 foot toy hauler. It's reduced the rear sag of the truck and provided better handling characteristics on the road. Good alternative to airbags.

The installation holes were made using the provided drill bits and a hydraulic jack to load the drill. Not too bad from a time stand point. Perhaps their provided drill jig may be easier or faster?

Some of the components had fit issues due to burrs that weren't cleaned up after machining. A quick hand deburr took care of that issue.

Overall a good product; despite the few minor fit issues. Installation instruction were clear as well.

by:

Excellent customer service, very knowledgeable in what I needed. Will buy from them again

by:

This is so simple and so effective. It nearly completely eliminated camper sway on my 2006 F-250. The stainless version should last forever.

by:

I have used these on my last truck for 5 years. Great asset with my truck camper. These new SS Stable Loads will be even better especially since I live in the north east, better known as the rust belt/

by:

Product worked as advertised. HOWEVER! Two of the lock nuts were defective, resulting in the twisting & breaking off of two bolts. This, of course, meant an extra trip to the store & more time for installation.

by:

I’ve to have stainless! Stable load makes hauling the camper much more steady.

by:

Install went well. Performance as predicted. No five star rating because the fasteners
are not stainless steel and are already rusting.

by:

Product does give us a reduction in sway. Doesn't get it all, tho. Have added various other SES products to help out the stableloads. With these additions I am satisfied

by:

A bit of a task drilling out the spring on my 2017 f-250.. Used a cordless drill and a floor jack. i had to drill pilot holes and use a few of my own drill bits to finish all four holes. The rest of the installation was easy. I Like the product, seems like it should work, Trying to avoid air bag if possible, Ordered a new truck camper from Northstar, but wont take delivery until late april..then i`ll put them to the test.

When I first got this rig(2014 RAM 3500 DRW carrying a Lance 992 4K pounds), it already had the upper stable loads and I still experienced porpoising, sag and sway. Then at the end of last season I notice we were listing to one side. It turns out the upper stable loads had disintegrated. I had to buy new ones because the lifetime warranty is non transferable. So While looking into that I saw the lower stable loads and decided to get those too.

After I first installed the stable loads(along with the new upper stable loads) I took the rig for a test drive and I could tell immediately there was improvement with handling as could my wife. But I was a little skeptical, thinking I was just being overly optimistic. So I decided to wait until I had a more thorough test before writing a review.

We've been boondocking in the Southwest for the last three weeks(geographic distancing) and have been driving on a lot of bumpy roads and a lot of washboard roads, interstate and state highways, you name it. I think I've hit all the road conditions that have caused us problems in the past.

Problems I used to have that I haven't had an issue with yet:

Porpoising --- This is very surprising and fantastic. We experienced porpoising at least once during every extended drive. I'm pretty shocked that I haven't had it happen in three weeks. I really hated porpoising.

Sag - People would flash their lights at me at night because the sag caused the front to tip up enough to make it appear as though my brights were on. This is not happening any more.

Sway - We used to experience a lot of sway and this has disappeared as well. Maybe if I drive like a maniac I'll get some sway, but I'm not going to risk it.

It's such a comfortable ride now and I'm genuinely surprised. It seems like a cheap and easy fix and I don't understand why truck manufacturers don't offer this for their vehicles.

by:

Nite and Day difference for having our slide in camper loaded up. Even with air bags and a aftermarket sway bar, I felt I needed “something” more at the back of the vehicle. I didn’t want stiffer springs because my load doesn’t actually tax my stock springs. The load is just tall. Utilizing the overload springs with this TorkLift kit did the trick. Only thing I did different was add a rubber o-ring to the base of the head on the latch-pin to stop the rattling of said pin when on bumpy broken California roads.

by:

Really like Torklift products but should have passed on this one. After 1.5 hours of driving a pothole and washboard logging road, got home and found the bolt going through one of the leaf springs had snapped. The only thing holding the part in place was the remains of the bolt. Have since replace the bolt but will remove this product in the near future. Had this part fallen off on the HW it could have caused serious damage to a following vehicle. Sorry Torklift.

by:

Just received it today and packed very well. Not going to install it right away but I will be curious as to how the install goes. Update to follow. Thanks e trailer for the fast shipping!

by:

Here are some pics of my installed Torklift Stableloads after drilling through my springs on a 2020 F250. I had to loosen and shift my exhaust pipe to drill the hole in that spring. Applied pressure to my drill with a floor-jack and went with low RPM on the supplied drill bits. I am very happy with etrailer’s quick shipping and the Torklift Stableload product worked as advertised

by:

My review is specific to the Stable Loads for my 2014 Ram 3500 SRW 4x4 Diesel Pickup truck. First, the package arrived a day ahead of the delivery schedule. Inventory of the kit showed it was complete and matched the list of contents included. The overall impression was that this is a very well made and manufactured system. The stainless steel option seems to be well worth the small added cost. The instructions from TorkLift are a little vague in places so here are a couple of pointers. First, I needed more spacer washers than were provided with the kit due to the thickness of the lower spring. I was short a total of 4 washers. It seems like this is a simple detail that others should have made TorkLift aware of. Surprisingly, I found no mention of this on-line or in videos. Another vague area is regarding the orientation of the bracket on the spring pack itself. on my truck, I needed to install the stable load to the inside - between the frame and the spring. I tried to install the rear stable load to the outside (tire side) but found that even with stock size tires, the clearance was too close for my comfort (less that 1 inch between the bracket and the tire sidewall. On my truck, there is a wiring harness along the bottom of the frame at the rear drivers side that had to be adjusted closer to the frame to provide clearance for the bracket. Otherwise, all 3 of the other mounting locations had adequate room for the inside mounting location. Also, for my truck, using two of the three wedges provided the right thickness for proper engagement. Another note is that for my Ram, I did not have to drill out the springs because the rubber pad is installed into a hole on the overload spring. The hole is slightly larger that the diameter of the mounting bolt. This did not seem to affect the installation but again, it seems a bushing of some sort would be a good addition to the kit. Installation time was a bit longer that what I have seen mentioned by others but still, a few hours and it was ready for a test drive.

With the stable loads engaged, the empty ride is a bit stiffer that stock but not objectionable. The real test will be with the 3000lb+ camper installed. That review will have to wait.

E Trailer was great to order from and had the best price I could find on-line. This is the 4th or 5th time I have ordered from E Trailer and have never been disappointed.

One year and I still think these are a great product. They work very well with the weight of the camper and improve sway control as well as squat. Well worth the investment.

When people are looking for suspension enhancement for their trucks like your 2023 Ford F-350 I generally don't like to recommend Timbrens unless the vehicle is going to be basically towing heavy all of the time as they are known to make the ride quality pretty harsh. Instead I would recommend actually the Supersprings kit part # SSA46 which will give you the support you are wanting without making the ride quality rough and actually improves handling and sway. The difference between the upper and lower Stableloads is the vehicle setup and because of that you can't install both at same time. If you have upper overload springs the kit you'd want is the part # TLA7200 or if you have lower part # TLA7311S.
