Hello, I have a 3-4” lifted 2002 ford ranger 4x4 off-road and I noticed these have the same brackets as the air lift ride rites. Will these fit my truck I want the extra air bag support

Great question, and I’m glad you’re double checking this before jumping in because with a 3–4 inch lift, that’s exactly where fitment can get tricky.

Even though the brackets may look similar to Air Lift Ride-Rite kits, the Pacbrake part # PB82FV is designed a bit differently and can work on a lifted truck. Since the lift increases the distance between the frame and axle, you’ll likely need a spacer to keep the air bags at the correct height and properly aligned.

If the rear of your truck is lifted that full 3 to 4 inches, a spacer is usually required to prevent the bags from being overextended at ride height or binding through suspension travel. The exact spacer size comes down to how much lift is in the rear specifically, not just the overall lift of the truck. The simplest way to confirm is by measuring your rear lift block. If it’s around 3-4 inches, you’ll typically need the taller spacer part # PB83VV, and if it’s a bit less, part # PB73VV would be closer. If you’re not sure on the block size, another way is to measure the distance between the frame and axle at normal ride height so we can match the spacer to that gap.

So the short answer is yes, you can get the extra air bag support you’re after, but we just want to dial in the spacer so everything lines up cleanly and works the way it should without rubbing or stressing the components.

I’m towing a travel trailer and occasionally construction trailers and I do a lot of off roading. Just looking to take the sag out when I hook up my travel trailer. Would you recommend these air bags over the smaller air lift ride ones for that or would the air lift ones be sufficient weight support. My travel trailer is 3600 pounds and I tow it no problem I just need some extra suspension
