Is the Convert-A-Ball Ball Adapter Compatible with Other Weight Distribution Shanks

Question:

The description says that this adapter is not compatible with other WD shanks. However, the shank that it is compatible with IS compatible with other WD systems? Can you confirm that this will not work with a standard WD shank with 3/4inch holes at 1.25inch centers? Or, is ther another brand adapter that is? I had to buy a larger ped shank for my Equalizer brand hitch, and would like to use my old shank with an adapter like this for non WD towing. Thanks for your help!

I pulled the Convert-A-Ball Ball Mount Adapter, # BA-1, and an Equal-I-zer weight distribution shank and I found that they do work together. The bolt holes for # BA-1 match the bolt holes on most weight distribution shanks, but it has not been tested with all weight distribution shanks so a fit cannot be guaranteed.

To attach the adapter to the shank, you can use the 3/4 Inch Pins and Clips, # CABPN-2.
