Question:
I want to confirm if the Gen-Y hitch extension will work for my application. Im towing a 14foot aluminum enclosed EZ Hauler under 1900 lbs for snowmobiles, 2 + a kid one so total weight well under 3500. Towing with a 21 Chevy 1500 w/ the 3.0 Duramax. Im just trying to extend enough to be able to jack knife the trailer to put a ramp up to the tailgate for the 2nd kid sled in the back of the truck without having to disconnect the trailer, which is what Ive been doing. I do use a e2 weight distribution hitch, but I cant seem to find an extended shank from them. It seems this extender should be more than enough for this job, but I see some other answers indicating this doesnt work with a weight distribution system so wanted to confirm. Thanks

Hello Adam,
We can definitely get you set up so you can accomplish getting the ramp up to your tailgate. However, it is not recommended to use a hitch extender with a weight distribution system. The good news is that you can use the Equal-i-zer Weight Dist Shank # EQ90-02-4500 with your Fastway E2. The # EQ90-02-4500 is going to extend you out by 18", if that is too long and you want to stick with the 14" extension then the Curt Weight Distribution Shank # C17122 will be the one for you which will also work with the E2. I attached images of the dimensions for each shank. You can use them for a drop or a rise.
Any fun sledding trips recently? Here in Missouri we got quite a bit of snow last week causing all kinds of chaos. My grandkids enjoyed their sledding a lot more than I enjoyed my shoveling.

Great thanks so much for your help. Yes, the sledding has been great here so far, earlier snow than last year. We've been out 5 times since Xmas and the kids are loving it! Stay warm down there!
