Question:
I have a 2024 F150. I need to be able to pull trailers with the tailgate down. What hitch extension options are available for this pickup?

Hey Brandon. The longest hitch extender we have is the 14" long Gen-Y Hitch item # GY89SR. This fits a 2" receiver and has a 10,000 lbs capacity but it will reduce your hitches capacity by 50% like all hitch extenders do.
The 15-3/4" Long Hidden Hitch Ball Mount item # 80232 fits a 2" receiver and has a 6,000 lbs tongue weight capacity. It will not reduce your hitch's capacity.
If you're using a weight distribution system, the 18" long extended Equal-i-zer Weight Dist Shank item # EQ90-02-4500 is used quite often to clear the tailgate. It's compatible with most weight distribution systems on the market.
If none of those options work for you, you can install the TorkLift SuperHitch Hero Trailer Hitch Receiver item # TL74CR and use the 21" long TorkLift SuperTruss Hitch Extension item # TLE1521.
What are you hauling in the bed of your F-150? You can add this information and any other questions you have where it says Reply to Jerred H and I'll be happy to answer them.
