Question:
Will this hitch fit a 2016 Subaru Impreza Sport Premium 5-Door Wagon? I did not realize there were different hitches for the Sedan and the Wagon. What are the differences between the two? I would like to not have to return the one I have if possible. Thank you

I do have a solution for you and can provide you the information you need, however, the hitch you currently have will not fit as needed.
The EcoHitch # 306-X7241 that you have does not fit on the 2016 Subaru Impreza 5-Door Wagon model. The reason the sedan model will not work on your wagon will be related to the factory mounting holes in the frame, muffler placement, and other body parts. The hitch I am selecting for you today has already been test fitted to your vehicle.
Because you chose a Class III, two inch, hidden hitch and receiver I am recommending a matching product that will be rated as highly and also hidden when not in use.
The EcoHitch Invisi Trailer Hitch # 306-X7211 is a comparable hitch that is also rated Class III with a 2" x 2" receiver and is hidden when not in use behind the bumper knockout panel, just like the original one you selected. This hitch is specifically designed for your vehicle.
If you think you might want to tow a small trailer in the future you will want to install a light wiring kit. The kit connects in the same areas that you already have open installing the hitch. In this case I would recommend the Curt wiring harness 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector Item # C56368.
