This Curt trailer hitch adds solid utility for gear and light towing jobs. With a 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" receiver opening, it’s built to handle up to 2,000 lbs maximum gross trailer weight and 200 lbs maximum tongue weight. The square-tube, visible cross-tube design gives you a sturdy connection point right under the bumper without getting in the way.
No welding or fabrication is needed to get this hitch mounted. The custom-fit bolt pattern lines up with existing holes, and the complete hardware kit comes in the box. You can handle it at home with basic tools—no lift required. Each weld is done robotically for precision fit and consistent strength, so once it’s tightened down, it stays put.
The fully welded steel body is finished with a gloss black powder coat over a protective base layer for rust resistance. Road salt, water, and dirt wash right off without pitting or flaking the metal. That durable coating keeps the hitch looking clean and helps it hold up through years of towing and weekend projects.
This hitch is purpose-built for smaller towing setups and accessories. It pairs with Class I-rated drawbars, ball mounts, cargo carriers, and bike racks without needing adapters. A drawbar, pin, and clip are sold separately so you can choose only what you need for your setup. Once installed, it’s a simple way to turn your vehicle into a capable hauler for bikes, gear, or light trailers.

Still vary satisfied with the hitch. I use it mostly for attaching my bike rack. Even bought a Subaru cap to put on it when not in use.
