The correct EcoHitch Trailer Hitch Receiver for a 2012 Subaru Impreza Hatchback is part # 306-X7211 just be sure you have the center knock-out panel in the rear bumper fascia. The hatchback and wagon are the same for all intents and purposes regarding trailer hitch application. I have attached an install photo on a similar model to show the knock-out panel in the rear bumper fascia.
If you are looking to tow a trailer then you will also need a trailer wiring harness and ball mount/hitch ball, the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness part # 118573 which is plug-n-play and eTrailer Ball Mount Kit part # 989900 are good options.
