Question:
I am interested in purchasing the 12135 for my 2012 Impreza instead of the 1-1/4inch 11286. The units look exactly the same except for additional metal flanges on each side of the hitch. My main questions are: will these fit and if so, is the height of both units the same ie. for ground clearance. Thanks

We have 2 inch hitches that fit your 2012 Subaru Impreza with the part # 306-X7241 for if you have a sedan or the # 306-X7211 for if you have a wagon but the Curt you mentioned does not fit your vehicle so I cannot recommend it for you.

I made a mistake in my question. The 2 hitches that I wanted to compare are the 13135 (not the 12135) and the 11286. Sorry about that.
