Does B and W Hitch # BWHDRH25124 Fit 1996 K2500 Step Bumper

Question:
Is this the correct hitch for my truck with a step bumber? I measured 34inch +/-between center of holes in the frame. What is the distance from the frame mounting brackets to the top of the receiver? Will this require permanently moving the spare tire from its factory position? Thanks,

For your 1996 Chevy K2500 with a step bumper the B and W Hitch part # BWHDRH25124 is a confirmed fit. The distance between the mounting holes left to right is 34-1/2 inches. The spare will need to be temporarily moved to install this but it will be able to reinstall after. I wasn't able to get the drop dimension but the hitch opening will sit right under the rear bumper.
