Because the mounting flange of the Curt # C15511 Class V hitch has 3 tabs on each side, rather than a continuous mounting flange like many other hitches, it'll fit around the rivet shown in your photo.

However, be aware that the Curt # C15511 is a fit for cab/chassis models only and won't fit a vehicle that has a standard truck bed on it. Chassis/cab models have a narrower frame which is why this hitch wouldn't work on a pickup model.

If you have a pickup model with the 37-1/2 inch frame spacing, I'd recommend going with the Curt # C15300 Class V hitch. The hitch has a cutout in the mounting flange specifically designed to fit around the rivet you show in your photo.
