Question:
Trying to decide which upgrade best fits my MH. Cant afford both at this time. Is it best to go with front or rear sway bar or springs? What is the advantage of each?

Helpful Expert Reply:
The best option by far for your 2016 Thor Hurricane motorhome, built on a Ford F-53 chassis, are anti-sway bars. SumoSprings are a decent option that can help when the back-and-forth sway starts, but for the most control, your best suspension enhancement is - in order - a rear anti-sway bar, front anti-sway bar, and steering stabilizer.
Rear anti-sway bars are so effective because they are a vast improvement over the OEM sway bars and their placement at the rear of the vehicle allows for the greatest improvement in handling compared to the placement of springs which only affect one side of the motorhome at a time, and only when sway has started.
What you need will depend on your GVWR:
- GVWR up to 18,000 lbs: Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar # RM-1139-146
- GVWR of 22,000 lbs and up: Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar # RM-1139-149
