Question:
I have a 2016 Forest River Georgetown 351DS built on a 2015 Ford F53 20,500 lbs chassis. Im looking for a steering stabilizer to reduce steering fatigue while driving. Are there pro and con differences between the ST88MR and the RM33RR? Looks like the bellows on the RM33RR would bunch up, tear, or wear out prematurely compared to the ST88MR.

Hey Gary, welcome back! The Safe-T-Plus # ST88MR is spring-based and reactive, so it corrects steering after you start to drift. It’s simple, solid, and proven. The steering will be firmer with this system installed, so if that is what you prefer I would go with the Safe-T-Plus.
The # RM33RR is proactive with constant centering force, so it’s always helping keep you straight. This typically means less steering fatigue on long drives. The bellows you're referring to on the # RM33RR is just a dust boot, not a common failure point, so I wouldn’t worry about it.
Where are you headed with the Georgetown once you get the steering stabilizer installed?

Gary, hi, I had a Roadmaster spring steering stabilizer and I switch to the Exact Center. It took a few adjustments to get it right but now it’s made a complete difference in handling. I can’t tell you about the Safety Plus. But I know that you can’t go wrong with the Exact Center. I installed mine myself. I’m lucky because I have a lot of tools, but you may have to rent a torque wrench when tightening the U bolts on the leave springs. It’d be great if you have a large parking lot to adjust the stabilizer. That’s what I had to end up doing and it didn’t take no time at all to adjust when I got there. I hope that this helps! Jerry

I ues the road master it works great, no more be pulled when you pass a semi. Make sure you have the front end aligned before you install it. The get wheels straight before you tighten thing up ,you can adjust it after that to get thing just right. Sure make long trip more enjoyable on my class a moterhome.

The roadmaster was a great investment. My class would be pulled whenever an 18 wheeler past by. It was hard to say straight, however, after installing the roadmaster, I no longer have that problem. The one thing that has been problematic is installation. The company that installed the part took into consideration the curvature of the road, so it is not exactly centered.
