When steering feels loose or delayed, every bump or gust of wind becomes a battle. The Exact Center uses a nitrogen-charged tandem gas spring that applies full force right when you need it. Instead of waiting for the wheel to drift, it keeps the steering centered from the start. That means you stay in control through crosswinds, rut tracking, and road edging without the constant fight at the wheel.

Other stabilizers only react once your rig starts to move off-center. This one is proactive—it prevents unwanted motion before it begins. That tighter, more responsive steering takes the stress out of long highway stretches and turns driving into something you can actually enjoy.

Nobody wants to cut or weld just to get better handling. The Exact Center bolts right up using factory axle bracket holes on one end and the tie-rod location on the other. Custom mounting brackets and all required hardware come with it, so you can get a solid, permanent install using basic tools.
Steering components take a beating under load, but this kit is built for it. The stabilizer’s heavy-duty stainless steel body holds strong up to a maximum GVWR of 24,000 lbs. It’s a setup designed to handle large rigs and stay reliable for the long haul.
The Exact Center isn’t a temporary fix. With its durable build and limited lifetime warranty, it’s made to deliver that tight, centered steering feel for as long as you own it.

This works great keeping motorhome tracking straight. Took some time and several drives to get it adjusted correctly but it is worth it.
This is an innovative design for me. I have always seen the steering stabilizer with spring. Looks like a great design.
I haven't installed it yet. Buy I will rate it when it's done and road tested. I will be ordering the the spring helpers after I get the stabilizer installed
Kim and the staff at E-trailer are very helpful. Fast and efficient delivery. Looking forward to installing the Steering Stabilizer. With the new sway bars already installed, we should see a big difference in handling of our Fleetwood Bounder. Thanks very much!
I had ordered and installed a Road Master reflex stabilizer. On the first trip itjamed and nearly caused me to wreck. Turns out it was nearly 12 inches short and would not allow my RV to turn properly. Sent that one back and purchased what an etrailer expert said was the correct one for my RV. Just in installed it and checked my steering radius which is now correct. The new one is the exact center model. Ca not wait to give it a test run. Waiting now for my spri g bumpers to also improve my steering and swaying
So far etrailer has been excellent to
do business with
Very easy to install and great customer communication.
Product seems to be of god quality. Issue with the instructions is that although the product has been upgraded the instructions to include all photos are for the previous product. Additionally the video recommends using an impact tool for removing and installing but the fine print on the instructions say using an impact tool may violate the warranty as it can strip the bolts. Took me a few times watching the video before I was comfortable completing the installation but the product appears to work well on the highway but actually makes steering more difficult on winding mountain roads. As usual with RV it’s impossible to find specs for equipment so I never could find the torque value to retorque the nuts I removed so I torqued the as tight as I could without breaking and will just have to inspect them after my next trip. Getting ready for a 1000 mile round trip in a weekend and anxious to see how well the product works.
It was packed and boxed very well and all the parts needed were included. It also was delivered pretty quickly from the date of order.
I installed the center stablizer today only drove about 20 miles it is great not to have to fight the steering wheel. Go lucky and didn't have to do any adjustments. I would highly recommended the center stablizer. Could not believe how much different the unit handles
Great fit, easy install , works great
Tips for installation;
1) Drive and find straight/center with masking tape as described; DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP or rely on if the wheels just look straight.
2) Wire brush (with drill attachment) U-bolts to remove rust.
3) Spray with PB Rust breaker type product and let soak on U-bolts
4) Remove U-bolts with torque wrench to help determine torque setting
5) Follow remainder of etrailer video instructions as they are clear and correct EXCEPT; the black end pieces in which the shock screws into should be set to a thread depth you are comfortable with prior to install to leave room to perform fine adjustments. I reset bracket to make sure the threads had plenty of bite.
The hardest part is the fine tuning. I have only put approx. 10miles on it at this point searching for center as I did not do step #1 at first and had to reset the bracket on the drag-link to ensure proper thread depth.
As far as performance; Not sure how I feel about it yet. Does hold straight but requires more effort during turns and constant effort to maintain the turn. My rig takes a lot of mico adjustments on the steering wheel going down the road to keep straight and I am concerned this will cause more fatigue rather than less. Getting ready for road trip and will report more after.
As far as Etrailer; Excellent communication, quick shipping, good instructional video.
This is a complete bust… terrible product. You fight it the whole time you are driving. It also increases steering effort too. The normal steering dampers are much better. COMPLETE waste off $600. NO FAULT WHATSOEVER WITH ETRAILER. Etrailer is the BEST company I have ever worked with in my 63 yrs of life.
Just had this installed by my service center and it drove well coming home.
The real test will be mid-July my next 1500-mile trip. I will update this then.

The July trip was a my first time on highways at speed and it was a Trip, mentally not literally, my service center did not do a good job adjusting the center-steer. The Bounder pulled to the right all the time making the drive very stressful, the coach was a dream as long as the road was going around a slight righthand bend. All that being said, once I go back my service center corrected their mistake and every trip since then has been great, no more stressful oversteering, much less buffeting and correcting for wind and truck passes. I would recommended the Roadmaster to everyone. I have sold the Bounder and went to a 5th Wheel but the buyer loves the Bounder also.

I'm torn about how this is working for me. I know it was difficult for the installers...very. It certainly keeps my motor home centered, but is also harder to steer otherwise. I installed this and a rear anti-sway bar at the same time.
4 stars based on lack of info and nonease of install. The videos listed here are of professionals with lifts. Ya…..try doing the install on the ground or in gravel, where I bet a lot of motorhomes exist. Anyways it is pretty simple to install but while laying on the ground twisted up try torquing that down! Not fun. I did the “fine” adjustments after install. Uh….couldn’t find the one out of 20+ videos I stumbled upon where a guy said “twist this way and go right….twist this way and go left”. After 6! Crawls under the stupid motorhome it eventually got worse after every adjustment I did. And believe me when I say FINE adjustments. 1/8 of an inch will send you’re steering the complete opposite direction. So to fix this nightmare, I uninstalled the bar mount on drivers side and reinstalled while my wife forced the steering wheel to go where it needed to go. Now I can go in an almost straight line at slow speed. Not sure what it’ll do when I get on the freeway….but I’m sure it won’t let me go careening into another lane like it did before this install….so thanks etrailer!
Haven’t taken a road trip yet but did test drive. Seems to handle a lot better. Planning a road trip this weekend so will see
This is absolutely a must for anyone with a Class A gas motorhome and fighting the steering. Steering feels tighter and self-centers quickly. Makes driving my 35' RV much easier and a LOT less fighting with steering when passing big rigs or in wind.

Have had this stabilizer installed for over a year and working great! Highly recommend for anyone who has an F53 chassis motorhome, as it makes driving a LOT easier
Time consuming to get it centered just right. Makes turning harder, it does help but not enough to warrant the price.
It survived the Alaskan (AlCan) highway in the summer of 2025!
Can't wait to get on the road and try it out. After installing this now I understand the whole theory of how this stabilizer will improve the driving experience. I also noticed during installation the previous owner of the coach must have had one installed as well due to the nuts on the leaf springs showing evidence of being removed recently. I did have to grind off the corner of the black bracket that comes with the kit and give it a bigger radius as the axle was flat in that corner. See picture for a better understanding.Just a 5 min setback so nothing difficult. Will come back and update after a test drive.2001 Fleetwood Southwind 37U on a F53 chassis.
This is one of the greatest additions to a Motorhome. I had purchased a new motorhome the day before a trip so I hadn't had time to install the stabilizer. After a 1000 mile trip fighting the wheel I had a chance to install it before the return trip. It was easy to install with the tool I had brought while at the campground and made the trip back much easier.

Still the most comfortable way to drive a motorhome.
Do not like how it handles with the center steer
Easy to install if you have the right tools, 3/4" torque wrench etc. Seems to be doing the job on smooth roads, our roads are terribly rutted and lots of frost heaves. Did not have to adjust after install.
I installed the exact center myself. It took me about an hour due to a couple rusty bolts. Test Robin on some side roads and the main road today and I love it. Keeps me on the lane. I don’t have to play the wheel back-and-forth constantly. It doesn’t pop back to center as quuck as I thought it would, but maybe I just gotta get used to it. Definitely an improvement for a long trip.
This one of the best if not the best exact center steering stabilizer on the market. Steering my 38 foot class A gas motorhome is simply a breeze. I use to fight my steering wheel to keep my motorhome straight on every type of road. I use to brace and prepare to input multiple steering corrections whenever a Semi truck was about to pass me. With my exact center steering stabilizer installed plus the addition of air bags (front and rear) driving my motorhome is now as easy as driving my F-150 super duty. The exact center steering stabilizer alone improved all of the white knuckle constant steering adjustments i was experiencing. The air bags prevent the side to side movements from cross winds and when a Semi truck passes my motorhome. The vast improvement is the same with or without the toad. This was by far the most cost effective, easily installed, and immediate improvement I have made to my 2015 Coachmen Encounter 37LS Motorhome.

Still the very best steering stabilizer I have ever purchased. As annotated in my original review the exact center steering stabilizer has completely eliminated my steering issues on my 2015 Coachmen Encounter 37LS.

Sorry to hear it didn't work for you, Marty. I know this is probably a dumb question, but did you adjust it at all to lighten the load on the steering wheel? And what did you install it on?
