Is a 2" Gap Too Much After Installing Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System

Updated 07/21/2020 | Published 07/17/2020

Question:

I bought and installed the Timbren GMRCK15S and installed on my 2007 Chevy Silverado crew cab that has a 3 inch lift. There is a 2 inch gap after install, assume I need a 1 inch spacer. Cannot find on the product info page what size bushing is used in the GMRCK15S. Is it the 3/8inch or the 1/2? Do I need to buy a longer bolt or will it come with one? Thanks.

The ideal gap between the bottom of the jounce bumper and top of the contact point is about 1/2"-1" but you can go more if you don't want them to engage as soon or as often. Therefore, in lifted applications you'll need to use spacer to get the gap down to where you want it or the recommended 1/2"-1". This can be done using the Timbren Spacers part # A25723-90AH00 for 1" and or part # TA25722-90P00 for 1/2". The spacers can be stacked and as you noted you'd need a longer bolt which can be obtained at pretty much any hardware store as it does not come with.
