When the back end squats under a heavy load, steering and braking can feel light. The Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System adds up to 3,000 lbs of support above the rear axle to keep your ride level and stable. The hollow rubber springs sit about 1" above the axle, letting your factory suspension work normally until the extra weight comes into play. Once loaded, they stiffen progressively to hold your ride height and improve handling so you stay in control when hauling or towing.

Bumpy gravel or uneven pavement doesn’t have to rattle you around. These Aeon hollow rubber springs act like built-in shock absorbers, taking the brunt of rough roads and cushioning bumps before they reach the cab. The rubber’s elasticity gives you more travel than microcellular urethane designs, so the ride feels smoother when loaded and less jarring over potholes.

Sharp turns or crosswinds can make a loaded vehicle lean or sway. Each Timbren spring works independently on its own side of the vehicle to fight that movement. This reduces body roll during cornering and helps keep your ride planted when swerving or carrying off-center loads. The more resistance at the rear also helps settle trailer sway faster, keeping everything in line behind you.

Adding load support shouldn’t mean tearing your truck apart. The Timbren system replaces the factory bump stops with custom-fit brackets and hardware—no drilling required. Bolt it to the frame above the axle and you’re done. Once installed, it automatically engages when weight is added, with no air lines, compressors, or manual adjustments needed.

I've had these on our tow rig for a year now and I added buy them again today if I needed them.these have worked much better than airbags for our coil spring rear suspension to handle the tongue weight of our trailer. The SUV sits level when the trailer is on and it handles bumps and sway better than the airbags did providing much more comfort to us in the vehicle. Unloaded, we don't really notice they are there, unless, we have all the kids and some friends loaded up and you will fell them work when going over bumps.i do all my maintenance on the vehicle's and inspect these regularly and I cant see any wear so far even though we've gone on 6 trips with our trailer with about 5000 miles doing so.
I cant say these are the best for every truck or SUV, but for ours it is the best and I definitely would recommend to others.
Well they are exactly what I thought it would be. Hard for me to say it's what I needed yet.
I installed them on a homemade trailer from a salvaged 2001 base model tacoma. Once I get finished building it out and have some weight in it I'll have a better idea. But from what I've seen so far on a couple test drives they should come into effect when needed.
For reference I building an Tacoma based trailer with an ARE Contractor topper with a Naturnest roof top tent on the very top. So to counter and sway these should be very helpful. At least I hope so. I'm not an engineer but I did stay at an Holliday Inn once.
The Timbren SES is a simple solution for rear squat when towing. When hitched to my 30' Airstream Globetrotter (8800 GVWR) with a tongue weight around 1200 lbs, my Silverado 2500HD had a bit more squat than is ideal. I shopped airbags but didn't want to spend ~$2K for the set up and didn't want the hassle of installation and forever chasing air leaks. The Timbren SES literally installs on the Silverado in about 15 minutes. So simple. No bags, no compressor, no wiring, no air lines, no leaks. And WAY less expensive to boot. Just returned form a 600+ mile trip and it towed flawlessly.
A very simple and straightforward installation once you get the oem bumper stops off (had a shop do that)
Timbren worked with me as I had a non OEM frame height (vehicle was lower than stock) to recommend the proper kit. Highly recommend contacting timbren if you are unsure of the proper kit to use. Ride is more stable. It does feel stiffer and less bouncy but am looking forward to seeing how it performs with my truck camper. Truck is a 1998 dodge ram 2500. Brake line over left side of axle needed to be secured to prevent damage.
The Timbren overload spring/bumper was east to install and did what it was supposed to do when I hitched up a camp trailer. These did not negatively affect the ride by any means and I don't have to worry about the troubles with air bags.
Stiffens and corrects kneel in rear end of 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500. You will notice a stiffening of the rear end suspension while unloaded, but it’s a fair trade off to prevent sagging and porpoising while towing. I found it easier to pull the rear wheels and work from the side than underneath the vehicle while installing.
The timbres bump stop is exactly the right height to meet the axel when the trailer is connected with all its weight onto the hitch. I have an Andersen weight distribution hitch and it levels out perfectly. The day picture is with the coach (Winn 2100bh) with factory equipment. The night picture is after the timbres are in place. Looks good.
It has been almost a year since I installed Timbren Suspension Enhancement Systems (DVF350 and DVR350R) on the front and rear of my 2003 Dodge RAM Van 3500. These bumpers replaced the OEM bump stops that were on my van. I like the Timbren bumpers much better than the OEM bump stops because they provide a progressively cushioned response for suspension compression when traveling over significant humps like speed bumps in a parking lot, or curb ramps into driveways. I did not like the abrupt stop the OEM bump stops provided when traveling over the same objects. I installed the Timbren rear bumpers first, and after a few months of use, I decided to add them to the front. In both cases, the front and rear Timbren bumpers were easy to install once the OEM bump stops were removed. Installation required reuse of the factory hardware. On my van, the Timbren bumpers are not always engaged. Under normal load and travel conditions the bumpers are relaxed and about 1/2” away from the suspension landing points. However, their presence is much appreciated and very noticeable when the van is carrying heavy loads or handling significant humps.
Absolutely Pleased with the TIMBRENS. They were easy to install, and took less than an hour to install both. I noticed a slight stiffness in the ride as the rear bounced over a bad roadway. Towing is great, with a nice level and smooth ride. I am glad that I did not order the heavier duty Timbrens, than what was recomended for my truck. I believe the ride would have been too stiff. If you look at the photos showing the timbrens, the truck is still lifted in the rear, so what you see is a big gap between the rubber, and the steal plate. When the truck is lowered, there's 1" of space as it should be. BTW, I have been purchasing from etrailer for years now, and I have to say that I have never had any issues with any orders. They are my go to folks for all of my vehicle suppension stuff and trailer stuff. You can't go wrong with buying from them.
Just got these on and haven’t been able to do a lot of testing yet, but it looks like they command their price. Huge difference in sag in the rear end of our Honda Pilot. As others have appeared to do in this review section before me, I started using a WDH with these and that looks to really be the winning combination with the Timbren SES. Our travel trailer is 3,500 lbs and it was squatting the pilot pretty well before. This timbren SES is a great addition. Can’t go wrong.
My F53 was like driving a waterbed down the road. With the Timbrens, it’s a different vehicle. Should have installed them years ago. Etrailer is my go to for anything trailer. FAST shipping and prompt responses to questions or concerns.
2022 F250 Super Duty. Super easy to install. I have about 3/4" gap between the spring and the plate. Time will tell how they impact the ride quality and how much sag they mitigate with my 5th wheel hooked up.
Timbren Spring Helpers were exactly what I needed on my Tundra plus a spacer kit since I have a 3” TRD lift. They were packaged neatly, with proper hardware, and excellent instructions! They absolutely do exactly what they are supposed to do! Truck rides much better and helps level out the load!
I'm suitably impressed with the difference i feel.
I have about 250 lbs. of static load with my topper and Decked cargo system. This put my install gap with no spacers just under the reccomended 1 inch minimum. Then add a couple hundred more pounds hauling music gear 100 shows a year, and the stop is resting on the axle.
I feel the absorption of the Timbren material is better than the flimsy stock bump stops. More cushion.
Where i really feel the difference is in the stabilty of excessive side sway when turning while loaded.
I have a gig coming up that will involve some unpaved mountain roads to get there so I think i will have a real goid idea of how these Timbren's will perform.
Instalation took me about an hour at 11 p.m.
The product it of the highest quality in design and build.
And Etrailer is a company that I would not hesitate to buy from in the future.
Thanks Dee Dee.
You rawk!!
Work Ike they are supposed too thanks
Easy install & fast shipping! Works gre at!
Great product! Sold on it after hitching up the first time. Mrs Hally took care of my order and got it to me the next day. Was a great experience with the etrailer & timbren products. Will order from again. Thanks.
Easy to install and works exactly how it should but I was a little disappointed that I noticed the paint was peeling off the mounting brackets when I first received the product.
Works great, my truck is a Raptor and has really good suspension, but not really good for towing. These fixed the problem.
The morning after this arrived, we had planned a two day camping trip to the High Unitas in Western Utah pulling an old 26’ camper trailer that weighs approximately 7000 lbs. I only had a few minutes to try and install the new parts and decided that if there were any hiccups at all, I’d just wait until after the trip. Well, there were no hiccups, everything just went right on. In the past when I’ve towed with the Raptor, just about any weight at all sags the back end several inches and the front headlights point right into oncoming traffic. People were always flashing me to dim my lights and I could do nothing about it. Well, now the truck barely sags under load. Further, it seems to handle the load with so much more stability and road presence, my confidence went way up coming down the long declines. Best thing I’ve ever bought for my heavily modified beast.
They work just as I pictured quick shipping and everything was how it should be !!!
