Hi, I need help to choose the right size hitch. I have 98 GMC Sierra 3500 dually with dump bed. I believe the frame is 34. Thanks

We've got you covered. The cab and chassis models did indeed have a 34 inch frame width. I'm not sure what kind of capacity you're needing, but because it's a dump truck on a 1 ton chassis, I'll give you a medium and a heavy duty option.
For a heavy duty option with a 15000 lb towing capacity/1500 lb tongue weight capacity, I'd recommend the Curt Class V hitch, part # C15511. If you don't need quite that much grunt, Curt offers the Class IV # C14082 with a 10K towing/1000 lb
tongue weight capacity. Either hitch would work great for you.
I see that you'd looked at a Curt # C14081 Class IV. That hitch wouldn't fit because the pickup models had wider frame spreads than the Cab/Chassis models did.
I've linked to installation instructions for both hitches.
