Question:

Greetings: My 2003 f-350 8-foot bed pickup was stolen, and the bed removed. I had the upper portion of my tracrac system off of the truck, but the theft deprived me of the mounting rails. Unfortunately, insurance did not cover this loss nor the loss of the tool chest and other items of significant value. It appears to me that Thule systems have changed their manufacturing techniques, and these are no longer part of the setup. Please let me know if you can obtain these, and what the cost is. thank you

I'm certainly sorry to hear about the theft of your truck, and hopefully we can get you the right rails. There are a number of Thule TracRac ladder racks that fit a 2003 Ford F-350 with an 8-foot bed, but the only one that uses base rails is the Thule TracRac SR Sliding Truck Bed Ladder Rack # TH43003XT-010, and the replacement base rails for this rack are the Base Rails for Thule TracRac SR Sliding Truck Bed Ladder Racks # TH21010. This does include the mounting hardware needed for install, and if you'd like you can add the Toolbox Mounting Kit # TH25200 as well. I've also added a link to our selection of crossover toolboxes for you.

The Thule TracRac TracONE Truck Bed Ladder Rack # TH27000XT, on the other hand, does not use base rails. What you would need for this are two of the Replacement Modular Base for Thule TracRac Fixed Mount Ladder Rack - Right Front/Left Rear # 8528383001, two of the Replacement Modular Base for TracRac Fixed Mount Ladder Rack - Left Front/Right Rear # TAPT-27001, eight of the Replacement Modular Clamps # PT-27064 and Replacement Clamp Foot # TAPT-27300, four of the Replacement Rubber Shim # TARX-11034-3. The hardware is the Replacement Fastener Kit for TracRac TracOne Ladder Racks # TA01-27016, and the mounting kit for your toolbox is the Toolbox Mount Kit for Thule TracRac TracONE Truck Bed Ladder Racks # TH41000.

The cost of all those parts for the TracONE is going to be similar to that of an altogether new ladder rack, which may be something to consider as well.
