Question:
I'm getting the Curt hitch C13163 and wiring harness 118482 for 2020 Mitsubishi outlander but need a little guidance on the install of the harness because I haven't done something like it before. in general, is it difficult or is there any special step or anything needed? some general install guidelines or anything of the like would be really helpful, thanks!

You made really good choices with the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118482 and Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13163 and I can help you along with the installation of the harness (I also added a link to a video install of the hitch on an Outlander for you to take a look at).
I have added a link to the installation instructions of the harness for you, but in general it is not an overly complicated installation. You will need to remove some trim panels at the rear cargo area in order to access the taillight wiring harnesses, and plug in the T-connectors. The most difficult part for most is running the wire lead to the vehicle battery, and I have added a help article for you detailing the best ways to do this which I highly recommend checking out.
There are no special steps or tools needed to install this harness, but the Trim Pad Remover # ALL648544 will certainly make things easier on you for the panels in your Outlander's rear cargo area. I also highly recommend using Dielectric Grease for Electrical Connectors # 11755 to help prevent any type of corrosion in your connector; using it will increase your 4-way's durability and extend its lifespan.
