Wiring a trailer doesn’t have to mean cutting into factory wiring. The Curt T-Connector plugs directly into existing vehicle connectors, giving you a clean 4-pole flat trailer output. There’s no need to track down individual wire functions or splice anything—just plug it in and you’re set.
This harness uses a powered converter that draws power directly from the vehicle’s battery instead of the lighting circuits. That design keeps the vehicle’s sensitive electronics safe from overloads and prevents malfunctions that can happen when circuits are tapped directly. It’s built to handle trailer lighting the right way.
The integrated 4-flat plug provides running, turn, and brake light signals to your trailer. It’s the standard connection for most small and mid-size trailers, giving you a consistent signal every time you hook up. The plug and lead setup keeps connections simple and easy to reach.
Because it’s designed for vehicles without a factory tow package, this harness tucks neatly behind panels and uses existing grommets for routing. The result is a hidden, factory-style install that stays out of sight and out of the way once connected.

It does it's job and I love it! Was such an easy install with easy to follow directions!
This wiring system was really easy for our friend to install and easily tucked away when not in use! Love it.
UPS LEFT IT AT THE DOOR DID NOT KNOCK CHECKED TIME OF DELIVERY IT WAS OUT SIDE MY DOOR FOR OVER AN HOUR. NEIGHBOR KNOCKED GAVE THE PACKAGE TO ME
Works as it should on a 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander.
I received my order today and am happy with how quick it got here. I haven't opened it yet won't be able to install it until the weekend.
same with the harness. fits and works as it should. could not say anything negative about it.
thanks
Still working great. At first had an issue with the main box but with the excellent customer service they hooked me up with a new one after troubleshooting over the phone.
Very happy with my purchase. Shipping was very fast and cheap. My hitch actually came earlier than forecasted. Great pricing and super fast shipping. You can't ask for much more.
I had a defective unit arrive, but etrailer stood behind their products and quickly sent me a working unit. I will always buy from etrailer for all my trailer needs in the future.
Product was exactly what I ordered. Easy installation instructions, there was also a video on the installation. The shipping was also fast! Much appreciated! I will definitely use this company again! Thank you again!
Good product. The power cord could have been thought out better. It comes with 4-5" of power cord attached to the box, along with a fuse holder, and then 20' of power cord. Other than that, nice product.
The trailer wiring kit was easy to install. The instructions were easy to follow.
Could not be any happier with my trailer hitch equipment. Best price of all 7 places I got quotes from and the delivery, scheduled for 2 weeks from purchase, came 4 days after purchase on-line. My mechanic installed it this morning and said it was exactly the right product for my car. Thanks so much!
Works exactly as expected. It was a bit tight getting in behind the plastic cosmetic panels, but that's more of an issue with the vehicle design. The "T" connectors make it very easy. The 12V +ve lead is designed to be routed to the engine compartment for a regular Outlander. We have the PHEV which is much easier because the 12V battery is in the rear. The only way it would have been easier would be to have a PHEV dedicated version so that you don't have to cut and splice.
Just the part i needed. I've paid a shop to install these wiring harnesses on previous vehicles - really wonderful to just handle the installation myself. Thanks for the great how-to video etrailer!
Nice kit, can be a bugger to install due to needing to run wire for convertor all the way up to the battery. One issue with the instructions to note; on the driver's side connection, if you grab the first visible connectors behind the panel, they may not be the right ones. The T-connection will plug in but the harness will not operate correctly. My vehicle has the power-lift rear hatch and the correct connection to the taillight is hidden behind the motor that operates the hatch. So the motor must be removed to access the proper connection.
We had a friend help install it and it was super easy to do! It got us literally across the country (California to Florida) and half way back (Florida to Kansas) again!!! It's a sturdy product that did it's job perfectly and I'm so happy with it! The price was fantastic, too! Especially considering how expensive hitches can be!!! You guys saved us a lot of money and stressduring a BIG move. Thank you!!!
Did not give it a five, not because of the hitch, installation was simplistic enough, needs two men, but when it comes to the wiring you have to remove everything in the back of the Mitsubishi Outlander to put in the wiring and then you have to run a wire to the front to the battery, put in a fuse link, not included, to make it work. Should have bought a more simple connection. But, I will talk to tech and maybe modify what I bought to make it a straight connection with no converter.
Oh, by the way, the hitch looks good on my unit.
