Question:
I need a trailer hitch for my 2019 Toyota Highlander, but I'm seeing a bunch of choices, and I'm not sure which one I need. Can you help?

To choose the correct hitch for your Highlander, you'll need to know if you have a hybrid model and if your vehicle has a full sized or a compact spare tire. Then, you'd decide whether you prefer a hitch that's pretty well concealed behind the bumper (except for the receiver opening) or if having the hitch visible from the rear doesn't bother you in the least.
Here's a run-down:
Let's start with the etrailer branded # e98844. This hitch won't be concealed and will fit hybrid models as well as regular models and models with full size spare tires UNLESS the spare is on an aluminum rim.
The Curt # C13200 will be exactly the same as the etrailer model, but with a matte finish rather than glossy.
The EcoHitch # 306-X7250 will be concealed and fits all models except for those with full sized spare tires.
Of the available alternatives, I'd recommend the Curt # C13394 because most of the hitch would be concealed, and it will fit all Highlander models. To see an installation video, click the provided link.
If you'll be towing, you'll need a couple more items to complete your setup. I'd recommend the # 118449 trailer wiring harness and the # 989900 ball mount/trailer ball kit.
I've linked install and demonstration videos for the products mentioned above.
