Question:
Which is the best of the two wiring kits for my Sportage? The left brake and blinker do not work, and the tester light will not light. I am assuming it is the wiring pack correct? Thanks!

Helpful Expert Reply:
The best trailer wiring harness for a 2010 Kia Sportage is the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness part # 118401 because it has a fully epoxied converter box which not only works to keep out water but also works to help hold the wires on the circuit board which is the most common failure point for a trailer wiring harness. The Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness part # C55529 also has an epoxied converter box but not to the same level as the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness.
I would concur that the issue you are having does indeed sound like a bad converter box, most likely the wire has been pulled from the circuit board.
