Question:
Hi, for my 2009 Kia Sportage, I am hauling a trailer using your STL572RB lights. All other markers are incandescent lights. Do I need the circtuit protected/powered harness system for the Kia or is the Draw-Tite Wiring - 18252 hardwiring kit sufficient to power the LED stop/turns. Thanks!!!

For your 2009 Kia Sportage a wiring kit with circuit protection is recommended. If you were to install a harness without the circuit protection like the Draw-Tite Wiring # 18252 you would most likely blow some fuses as well as potentially damage your tail light circuits. Even with your LED taillights.
For an easy to install wiring harness confirmed to fit your vehicle I would recommend the Curt Wiring Harness part # C55529. This plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind the rear bumper, on the passenger's side. I attached installation instructions.
