Question:

Hi, I need to replace trailer tail lights, outside diameter is 5.5, and unless its flush mount the back of the light needs to fit in a 4 inch diameter hole. Can you make some recommendations for me? Thanks!

The best option to replace your round 5-1/2 inch tail lights are surface-mounted LEDs because they are going to be the brightest, last the longest, and be the easiest lights to mount.

There are two options that are similar except for the lenses, though both give you stop, turn, tail and back-up functions. The LED Trailer Tail Light # 328-003-6019R only has a red lens, but uses white LEDs for the back-up while the Fusion LED Combination Tail Light # STL201XRFHXB also has white LEDs but has a red and clear lens.

Both lights are 3-wire designs and have a built-in reflex reflector, which just means you do not need to get a separate reflector with these lights.
