The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The housing and lens are sonically sealed together to create a single unit, which means that water will not get into the light and damage the diodes or circuit board.
Surface-mount lights install flat against the surface of the trailer, so a hole does not need to be cut into the trailer for the light. This type of light is installed using a flange or bracket that has mounting holes. And mounting hardware is used to secure the light to the trailer.

Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the Fusion LED Combination Tail-light from Optronics. This combination trailer tail-light serves four functions on trailers over 80 inches wide. You get your stop light, your turn signal, tail-light, and back up light with this unit. It has the built-in reflex reflector which removes the need for a separate reflector. It's sonically sealed, has a nice waterproof housing and lens unit that is submersible.Now, it is a LED system. LEDs make great replacements for incandescent lights.
They last longer, they burn brighter, they're more efficient. With LEDs, you don't have to worry about replacing bulbs and you don't have to worry about brittle filaments.It's a surface found installation, has a built-in mounting flange, nine hardware not included, and it does have a film gasket already attached. We're looking at a nice, durable polycarbonate construction when it comes to the lens and the housing. And it's a four wire design, so white wires are our ground, black wires are our main power lead, that's for our tail-lights, red is for stop and turn, and yellow is for the reverse lights.It's FMVSS compliant for trailers over 80 inches wide, and it is SAE and Department of Transportation compliant as well.A few measurements to go over with you real quick, then we'll hook it up to power. Overall diameter, that's measuring edge to edge, that's about five and a half inches.
The overall thickness is about 13/16th's of an inch, and then the mount holes, each one is separated from the other by four and 1/16th inches.Alright, let's go ahead and hook it up to power. We'll also turn off our overhead lights so you can see it in a lower light setting. So, again, white is our ground wire, black is our power lead, that's for our tail-lights. And then we'll hook up our stop and turn first, and we'll go over that and then we'll switch it over and show you the reverse lights.So this is the tail-light function. So when your trailer is activated, when you have your running lights on or headlights in your tow vehicle then this is what will show up on the trailer, and then when you apply your breaks, you can see how that signal output increases.
Very bright design, does the same thing when you activate your turn signals.And then when you're going in reverse, that center section will light up white, really nice bright design. Now when it comes to the power draw at 12.8 volts for the stop and turn signals, we're looking at 0.375 amps for the tail, we're looking at 0.145 amps for the backup, we're looking at 0.3 amps. Also, Optronics puts a lifetime warranty on their LEDs.And that's gonna do it for today's look at the Fusion LED Combination tail-light from Optronics.

One of the best trailer light kits I've ever had. Perfect fit for my trailer. Being able to have back-up lights now is a game changer and long overdue.
Very well made and I have no reservations that these lights will last a long time. I like the fact that they aren't overly bright while in running mode. Don't want to give an impression that brake lights are on until they are. When they are applied and ON there is no mistaking. Wonderful lights. Affordable and well made.
Good replacement for an existing light on our travel trailer. Trailer was wired for backup lights but none installed. This unit will give me tail, turn, brake and backup lights.
Measurements for mounting holes was exact. Did not have to drill other holes. This is a surface mount. I did have to modify the reflective trim ring that was on my original light for it to fit the new light. The housing on this light was slightly larger but the overall dimensions were the same.
Some grinding on the trim with the drimmel tool solved the problem.
Would be good for initial installation also. Initial installation would require a hole near the center of mount location to allow wiring to pass through trailer. Seems to be a quality product.

Added this to our Arcimoto that we converted to a flatbed. The electronics is driven by Pulse Width Modulation coding in an MRS Module and we don’t have the code. So we had to buy these with less draw (due to less LEDs). They work perfectly. The backups work perfectly (which it had none but the wiring was there). Probably the best lit Arcimoto in the world :) High quality. Fit in the grommet and bracket from another set of lights that had too much draw - so that shows these are very standard size. Pics show no backup, then backup. They are bright!
I bought this set to install on the back of my enclosed overland trailer.
On occasion, i carry a basket in the trailer hitch location and my stock lights get covered. The Fusion LED lights were easy to install, very durable and are super bright. At night you can see them from a great distance!
Bright light for tail, brake/stop, and back up are an excellent upgrade to the trailer.
Works perfectly. I had ordered a set a year ago or longer and one of them developed a short , so after hours of trying to figure out what the problem was, it was one of the lights I am replacing with this order.

I just got a new boat and had damaged the trailer light no other place around had a matched light even the large outdoor shop (starts with a C) sold me the incorrect ones for $60. Then as frustration started impacting me. I saw etrailers online, saw a light that was identical, took a chance and it was the exact light for only 1/3 of the price I paid at the large outdoor store. End result, I'm very pleased with my purchase, shipping and overall.

These lights are a direct replacement for the stock optronics stop/turn/tail lights on my Sundowner horse trailer. It was pre wired from the factory for backup lights but none were installed. If you pull off the rear right side light cover of the trailer there is a yellow wire that is capped off. Double Check with a light tester that it is the power wire for reverse lights. I drilled out the old rivets and installed the new lights with the reverse light wired up to the yellow power wire

These lights are great on my PU camper , a little over priced - probably as they are waterproof. Very bright back up and break/ turn lights . Running is more subdued, so as not to be mistaken for breaking
It was an easy install since my trailer wiring harness already had the wire there for the backup lights (on my trailer you only get the backup lights if you buy the more expensive $$$$ upgrade package from the factory). For basic safety reasons I think travel trailers should have a backup light anyway. Lights are surprisingly bright and I would do this again since it was relatively easy. Also,those WAGO wire connectors with some electric tape made this job go very smooth and know that my connections are secure.
