Purchased and installed base plate. I have a blue ox alpha. Just wondering if that is adequate. Flat tow 2016 Escalade esv

The Blue Ox Alpha 2 tow bar # BX7380 is suitable for use with the Blue Ox base plates # BX1716 on your 2016 Cadillac Escalade ESV. The tow bar is rated for 6500-lbs which is more than the curb weight of your Escalade; that curb weight ranges from abut 5700-lbs to about 6000-lbs.
Should you ever need a new tow bar I would recommend one with a higher weight capacity just so that it will give you a bigger safety margin. The Blue Ox Avail tow bar # BX7420 is the one I recommend since it is rated for 10,000-lbs.
