Question:

I have a 2000 chevy 3500Hd dully with 12 ft bed single cab. I got it with no bed etc. I want to know can I put a 5th wheel hitch? and what do I need to do for it to bolt on properly. I know your install measurements are with bed on truck.

When you say you have a 12 foot bed, I can only assume you have a flatbed on your 2000 Chevy 3500 Dually. You have a couple of options for a compatible 5th wheel hitch:

B&W Gooseneck hitch # BWGNRK1500 along with the B&W Companion Flatbed Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter - Dual Jaw - 25,000 lbs # BWRVK3050.

Reese Low-Profile 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch - Dual Jaw - 30,000 lbs # RP30054.

Demco Hijacker SL Series Flat Deck 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Travel Adjustment - Single Jaw - 21K # DM6076SL-FLAT. For rails you will need the # DM6012. The installation of these rails will have to be a custom install done by a qualified fabricator in your area. The rails will need to mount to the frame of your truck and not just to the bed using bracket # DM8553004 and then the hitch will be able to be removed easily when not in use.
