Traditionally trailer tires have been rated for a maximum speed of 65 mph. You wouldn't find a speed rating on the tire's sidewall and the 65 max was then assumed. Not too long ago tire manufacturers started testing their tires for faster speeds because people towing trailers don't always want to stay under 65 mph. Since this started a lot of tires that were previously only rated for 65 mph are being tested at higher speeds and therefore the rating on them is being increased.
This is likely what's happened with part # AM1ST92. Originally it wasn't tested any faster than 65 mph. More recently it's been retested and is now rated for up to 81 mph so we've updated our product page to reflect the new specs and the answer you saw was behind on the times so to speak.
The # AM1ST92 tire is stamped as a Speed Rating M which is 81 mph. I just went out to our warehouse to verify this for you.
