When you’re towing gear or equipment day after day, this setup is made to carry the weight. The Kenda 4.80/4.00-8 bias tire has a 6-ply rating and handles up to 760 lbs at 90 psi. The matched steel wheel is rated for 910 lbs and both meet Department of Transportation specs, so you can tow confidently on short runs or highway miles knowing the combo is built for the job.
Saltwater, moisture, and road grime don’t stand a chance here. The 8" diameter × 3-3/4" wide steel wheel comes with a corrosion-resistant galvanized finish that stands up to years of exposure. It’s the kind of protection you want when your trailer sits outdoors or sees frequent use in wet conditions.
The bias-ply design uses thick nylon cords set at a 30- to 45-degree angle in alternating layers. That crisscross pattern gives the sidewalls extra stiffness so the entire tire flexes evenly across bumps and uneven surfaces. The result is steady tracking and a smoother ride when trailering over gravel, ramps, or rough pavement.
Installation is straightforward thanks to the common 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern, 2.8" pilot diameter, and zero offset. Wheel bolt size is 1/2"-20, making it easy to line up with standard hardware. This assembly arrives paired and properly matched—no need for extra setup before putting it to work.
For the first 12 months after purchase, if the tire is damaged in any way it’s replaced at no charge. That simple guarantee adds confidence that Kenda stands behind this tire-and-wheel combo from day one.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Tires are wearing well. I keep up proper tire inflation which is important with small wheels and tires. Very pleased with my purchase.

I installed these wheels on a boat trailer and was in storage in a barn over the winter. The tires did not lose any air over the winter. Very happy with this product.
