  Hey Gus, if you have room for it the Kenda 215/60-8 part # AM3H323 is wider and has a higher capacity at 1,165 lbs and is 8.9 inches wide. What you have now would be 5.8 inches wide so this is about 3 inches wider. Diameter is basically exact same. Would this be wide enough?

• Is Trailer Tire Size 215/60-8 Better than 165/65-8
  Hey William, the 215/60-8 tire size does have a higher weight capacity by a few hundred lb per tire. The speed rating is much better at 81 mph compared to 65 mph and the width is about 1.5 inches wider. It's definitely a solid upgrade. Id you have a 5 lug bolt pattern you'd want the part # AM3H323 or if you have 4 lugs part # AM3H290. In my opinion it's worth the upgrade for just the higher speed rating.

  Sorry we are not going to have a wheel spacer for a 4 on 4 lug wheel. Since you're replacing tires on a jet ski trailer, I recommend the Kenda 215/60-8 Bias Trailer Tire with 8" Galvanized Wheel item # AM3H325. This is the same size wheel and tire combo you were looking at item # AM3H323 but with a galvanized wheel that will stand up better over the years being in and out of the water. Sorry, but it also has a 0 offset so it won't address your clearance issue either.

  I pulled a sample of this tire from our warehouse to take the measurements you need. From the rear rim surface that contacts the hub (near the bolt holes) to the innermost edge of the rim the distance is 4-inches. From that same point to the innermost edge of the tire the distance is 4-1/2-inches. The dimensions are noted on the linked photo.

  Hey Corey, so the important info you need to know is that you want to keep at least one inch of clearance between the inner sidewall of the tire and the frame of your trailer for enough safe clearance and also that the offset of trailer wheels is always zero. What that means specifically is that the additional width of a new wheel and tire compared to what you have now will be split in two equally.   Hello again Doug; we do not carry any offset wheels you could substitute for the # AM3H323. Most trailer wheels have 0 offset, especially in the smaller wheel and tire sizes. You may be able to find some out there but I'm not sure if anyone makes any. You could also try adding in a spacer depending on how much clearance you need but that isn't something that we offer.

  Hey Christopher, when picking out a hub you don't start with the wheel generally. You need to find a hub that fits the spindle on your current axle which the easiest way to do that is to base it off of the axle capacity that is on the trailer. Hopefully it's 2,000 lb like what the # AM3H323 was generally designed to fit like with the hub part # CE13210 fits. Larger capacity axles would not have hubs that would fit behind an 8 inch wheel.   Harbor Freight trailers have a bolt pattern of 4x101.6 (or 4 on 4 inch) or the 5 on 4-1/2 inch if you have 5 lugs. . The 225 x 8 isn't a size we carry, but we do have the Kenda 215/60-8 Bias Trailer Tire with 8" White Wheel - 4 on 4 - Load Range C # AM3H290 which have a zero offset.   I do not think the diameter of the tire will pose any problem since a 215/60-8 tire is only about .20 of an inch bigger diameter. The problem you may have is the width of the rim. the width of a rim for the 5.70-8 wheel is 3-3/4 inches and the width of a rim for the 215/60-8 tire is 7 inches. The additional 3 plus inches may cause issues for clearance on the fenders and also on the inside of the wheel well. You may want to check the clearance you have with the smaller tires to be sure....
