When you’re logging miles across hot pavement or pulling through rough conditions, this setup keeps pace. The Kenda Loadstar 8-ply bias tire handles 1,165 lbs at 70 psi with a speed rating of M (81 mph). It’s mounted on a strong 8" x 7" steel wheel rated for 1,040 lbs, and the full assembly meets Department of Transportation specs for confident highway use.
Steel strength with a clean, lasting finish. The 8" wheel has a white powder coat over an e-coat primer that fights corrosion and protects against road grime and water. It’s a simple way to keep your setup looking sharp while resisting rust season after season.
The bias construction uses thick nylon cords set at a 30- to 45-degree angle in alternating layers. Those crisscross plies create a stiff sidewall that lets the whole tire flex as one piece, providing solid handling and a smoother ride over uneven or off-pavement surfaces.
This tire-and-wheel combo comes pre-mounted and inflated to proper pressure so you can bolt it on and go. The balanced setup runs quiet and steady at speed, giving you that “tow smoother” feel that owners appreciate when hauling loaded or empty.
No guesswork on fit. This assembly uses a 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern, a 2.8" pilot diameter, and zero offset for straightforward mounting. The wheel bolt size is 1/2"-20, and the tire measures 215/60-8 with an 8.9" section width and 18.1" outer diameter when inflated—clear specs that make matching up easy and accurate.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Tires are still great, have not lost any air pressure in the last year. The trailer has not been used as much as we thought it would be, but its always ready to go.

Each week I feel like I see a new way products are used, and this is a first for me! That is super cool, I am glad you were able to get them working for your application to get that barn made. It is good to know just some spacers and it was able to work. What was the intention behind the barn, animals, hay?
