Can the 205/65-10 Loadstar K399 Bias Trailer Tire be Safely Used on the Highway?

Question:
RE: Part Number: AM1HP56 - There is a 1star review regarding this tire blowing out at 70mph. The response from Heather at E-Trailer states that the tire is rated for off road and not highway use. This is very confusing as in the tire description it has a highway speed rating of 87MPH? Can you confirm that this tire is intended for highway use or not and if not, what tire would you recommend for highway use in that size. Is there a radial tire in that size?

Hey Tony, thanks for reaching out!
The Loadstar K399 Bias Trailer Tire - 205/65-10 # AM1HP56 is perfectly fine for use on the highway. Heather wasn't wrong that most people nowadays are using Bias tires for off-road and agricultural trailers, but it isn't as black and white as her comment kind of made it seem (her comment has since been taken down).
Around the time that the review was submitted we were in this weird state of change where tire companies were pushing consumers towards radial tires for highway use (which they are better for highway) so the language started to change a little more and is why our comment on the review looked that way.
Since then, the dust has settled. Bias and Radial are both fine for on-road and off-road use, but Bias is going to perform better off-road, and Radial is going to perform better on-road.
There currently isn't a radial tire in the 205/65-10 size so you'll want to stick with the Loadstar K399 # AM1HP56.
I'm not sure what happened with the tire Kerry had on the boat trailer, but that's more of an anomaly than the norm - especially for a Kenda tire.
Hope this helps shed some light on what you found confusing and boosts some confidence in this tire! I see you've purchased this tire a few times from us already. What has your experience been with it so far?

Jon, Thanks for the reply and yes it does clear up the confusion. I recently sold my trailer with my spare and purchased another trailer and wanted to purchase two more to have as spare with the new trailer. I have purchased many from etrailer with great results. I’ve only had one issue with a leaking side wall and after filling a claim ( as recommended by etrailer) with Kendra a replacement was sent at no charge. Thanks again for the clarification
