Draw-Tite QSP Anti-Rattle, Trailer Hitch Silencer and Cover Not Fitting Curt Trailer Hitch
Updated 04/16/2018 | Published 04/13/2018 >
Question:
When I try to install the QSP bracket over the collar of my Curt hitch receiver Item # C13100, it does not slide on easily. It only goes on about half way. It seems as though the Curt hitch receiver collar is slightly too large?? a Do you know of this issue? b Can I force it on with out interfering with the functionality of the QSP braket? c Can I modify the QSP bracket to make it fit better? Thank you.

What is probably happening is that the collar around the receiver opening on the Curt hitch has a very thick powder coat that is preventing the Draw-Tite QSP # 63080 from fitting properly. If you were to sand away some of the powder coat on the collar it would likely fit. That would be easier than trying to modify the QSP.
It goes without saying but make sure that the cam tightening lever on the QSP is open when trying to install it on the hitch.
