Is There a 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver Confirmed To Fit a 2022 Volkswagen Golf GTI?

Question:

I am wondering if you make a 2 hitch opening for a 2022 VW GTI? The only option I see on the website is a 1.25 opening. This is item # 24979. I also want to confirm that it fits a 2022 model, as the pictures it shows on a 2021 model year. If you make a 2 hitch I would prefer that over the 1.25 and the adapter. Can you please let me know if you have the 2 that will fit the 2022 GTI? Thanks!

Currently the 1-1/4" Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver # 24979 is the only receiver confirmed to fit your 2022 Volkswagen Golf GTI. This has been confirmed by Draw-Tite and by some of our reviews on those who have ordered this receiver.

Looking at the mounting brackets for the EcoHitch Stealth Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7375 and Stealth Hitches Hidden Rack Receiver # SH79ZR they mount in the same location but will not reuse the impact structure like the Draw-Tite. These both have 2" removable receivers for improved ground clearance when you are not using the receiver. Personally I find the Stealth has the best quality and will hold up the best over time.
