Question:
Do you have a weight distribution hitch for a trailer with a short tongue like my snowmobile trailer has? Thank you.

Weight distribution systems usually install such that their A-frame-mounted spring bar lift brackets are between 26 and 32-inches to the rear of the hitch ball. As an example, the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System # EQ37100ET, which works for trailer tongue weights from 600- to 1000-lbs, has brackets that need to be positioned between 27- and 32-inches from the hitch ball center. But we do offer the Curt Short Arm # C17332 which needs 28-inches.
Trailers that have a straight pole tongue will need a pole tongue adapter such as Reese # RP3280 or Equal-I-zer # EQ95-01-5950. These adapters provide the equivalent of an A-frame trailer's mounting points.
Also note that aluminum trailers are not always suitable for use with WD systems. If the trailer uses an aluminum frame we recommend checking with the manufacturer before installing a WD system since these are always made of steel and in some cases could distort the frame.
Please refer to the linked video and article for more on WD systems.
