Question:
While installing the class V hitch on my 2012 ram 1500, I put too much torque on the carriage bolt and snapped the nut that was welded on the inside. It is tight enough to hold it in place for now but it is not load bearing, and i do not want tow until it gets fixed. Do you have any advice on a workaround?

Since the weld nut is broken you'll need to fish wire new hardwire into the frame from a different opening and then out through the hitch's mounting hole. I've linked a video of the process.
If you also need replacement hardware for the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C15572 you can use part # RHK and enter the model number and manufacturer of the hitch.
