The Curt Front Hitch # 33328 is a front-mount hitch and is designed to be used for installing carriers or winches or other accessories at the front of your 2004 Pilot. It is not designed to be used for flat-towing.
You need a few items if you plan on towing your Pilot; a tow bar, if you do not have one, base plates for your Pilot, tow bar wiring, safety cables, and a supplemental brake system.
You need base plates like part # DM9517143 to tow your Honda. The base plates bolt to your Pilot chassis to connect to a tow bar, like the Commander part # DM9511012 which slides into the hitch receiver on your RV.
For lighting you can use the diode kit, # RM-15267. You do not have to worry about cutting into the taillight housing. This harness splices into the vehicle tail light wiring and will allow your tow vehicle to control the taillights on your Pilot. This assembly comes with a connector that you install on the front of your Pilot.
And last, most states now require supplemental braking in the vehicle being flat towed. The easiest system to use is the Stay-IN-Play DUO, part # SM99251. After the initial install you just flip a switch to set it up.
You will probably need a high-low adapter so that the tow bar will be level when you are flat towing. I attached a link to our website product page for the adapters we offer.
I also attached links to a couple of helpful articles about flat-towing you can check out. You will also want to check the owner's manual for your Pilot to see any restriction when flat-towing.
