Will Hopkins Tail Light Kit for Towed Vehicles Work on a 2017 Jeep Wrangler with Factory Tow Package

Question:
We are planning to tow our 2017 Wrangler with our Class A. We want to use the Hopkins plug and play light kit # 56200, and will install the brake relay RM9332, as are going to use the Patriot Brake System. I have 2 questions if you dont mind. The Wrangler that will be towed has a factory installed tow package including a 4 pin connector. Will this light kit still work ? The Wrangler will never tow anything as it is being towed. I do not want to disconnect it as sometimes the Wrangler will be used for towing something. I really like the Blue Ox Products. Which tow bar would you recommend for the money. I really like the removable pins as I can see the advantage of there not being anything protruding from the front of the vehicle. Im sure there are plenty of people that have busted their shins on some of the other base plates. The Wrangler weighs about 4,000lbs. I see some people use the 10,000 lb model made from aluminum because it is lighter. Is there anything that I am missing. Is one model better than another, or is it just a matter of how much weight you are pulling ? Thanks, for your help, and I appreciate the videos.

The Hopkins # HM56200 does work with your 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited even with the tow package. I've linked a video of the install. It installs in the same basic way except you need to pay close attention on the driver's side. There's two connectors behind the tail light that are identical. The one you want to install the Hopkins into is the one that has the wires running directly to the tail light bulbs. I've linked a video of the install on a Jeep with the tow package. Skip ahead to the 2:30 mark and you'll see the installer point out the correct connector.
The aluminum Blue Ox Aladdin is 37 pounds and has been discontinued. It's actually heavier than the 35 pound, steel Alpha # BX7380 and only 8 pounds lighter than the 45 pound Avail # BX7420. So I wouldn't use weight as a determining factor. There isn't enough difference. With that being said I recommend the Alpha since it'll pair with Blue Ox base plates and has plenty of capacity to pull your Jeep.
There's three Blue Ox base plate kits that may fit your Jeep. Kit # BX1126 fits if you have the standard bumper with no winch or guards. If you have the Rubicon Hard Rock Edition, the 75th Anniversary Edition, or the ARB Stubby bumper you need # BX1134. If your Jeep is the Winter Edition use part # BX1133. If you have a different front bumper let me know what it is or send me a picure of it and I'll see if there's a Blue Ox kit that works with it.
The Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR is one of the easiest supplemental braking systems to set up. And if you ever change towed vehicles it's easy to move to the new car. The Outlet Kit # RM-9332 is needed, like you said.
Finally, you'll likely need a high-low adapter. I've attached an article to help you determine the correct rise or drop your setup requires. I've also linked our selection of adapters for you to look at once you know what you need.
In addition to my recommendations I've linked some articles on flat towing that you may find helpful.
