Is that hitch the highest rated class available?

For your 2006 Ford E-350 van, I recommend the Curt Class III Receiver Hitch, # 13055. The hitch has a 600 lbs tongue weight capacity and a 6,000 lbs towing capacity.
What I like about this Curt hitch over the other brands we carry is the ease of installation. The Curt hitch will install to the frame of your Ford using already existing bolt holes. There will be no drilling required making installation less labor intensive.
If you are going to use the hitch to tow trailer, then you will need a trailer wiring kit, ball mount, and trailer ball.
I recommend the Curt T-Connector Wiring Harness, # C56020. This harness is custom-fit to your 2006 Ford E-350. The harness will plug into existing plugs in your vehicle's wiring harness. No cutting or splicing of your Ford's wiring.
For the ball mount and ball, I like etrailer.com's Ball Mount Kit, # 989891. This kit will include a standard ball mount, hitch pin and two balls. One ball will be for 1-7/8 inch trailer couplers and the other will fit a 2 inch couplers.
I have linked some help articles on hitches and towing a trailer for your to review. I also included two installation videos on the wiring harness and the trailer hitch for you to watch.
