The hitch receiver fit my '97 F150 perfectly and went on easily, even for a non-mechanic like myself. About the only difficult thing was handling it myself (with two people no problem), but I solved that by using a crate to hold up one side while I started the other. Next time I need a hitch I would definitely buy from etrailer.com again.
Took a little over an hour for me to install, but I've only got one good arm so not bad right? Lol! Everything was shipped fast, although the box was open when I received it, but all was there. Over all excellent!
Perfect fit!
I ordered this hitch for my '97 F-150 to tow a small travel trailer. It arrived in a timely manner. As promised, the hitch bolted into existing holes in the truck frame with the included hardware. I did have to put some spacers on the bumper to get it to squeeze in there, but that may have been because of a little fender bender in the past. Other than that, the hitch went on easily, and seems to work well. I'm very pleased with this purchase.
