Question:
I have a 2004 Mitsubishi FUSO FE145. I am preparing wiring for an electric brake controller. Voltage to the brake pedal switch is only 6V. I guess the signal runs from/to a lighting control module. Will this be an issue with the brake controller because its looking for a 12V signal?

Expert Reply:
On your 2004 Mitsubishi FUSO FE-145, You will need to find a 12-volt signal of the brake light wiring when installing a brake controller. The best location would be to tap into the brake light wiring anywhere after the lighting control module.
This signal will be 12-volt and will allow your controller to operate without causing any issues with the lighting module on your Mitsubishi.
If you have not decided on a brake controller, then I recommend the Tekonsha Voyager # 39510. The Voyager controller is a proportional controller that will give you more adjusting options to fine-tune your brakes than the full digital controllers like the Prodigy P3, # 90195.
I have included a couple video links that reviews that Voyager controller for you.
