Will the hitch 14357 work if the factory hitch is removed?

I spoke to my contact at Curt and he informed me that the Curt Class V Trailer Hitch # C14357 would indeed fit for a 2004 Ford F-150 excluding the Heritage Edition if the factory hitch was removed as long as no portion of the frame or bumper beam is removed in the process of removing the factory hitch.

so why does the other guy say it wont fit on with a factory hitch and do have a video how to install it I bought this hitch about a year ago
