Features to know about

Take On Real Hauling Jobs: Class III Strength in a 2" Receiver

This hitch is built for real work. With a Class III rating, it handles up to 6,000 lbs maximum gross trailer weight and 600 lbs maximum tongue weight. When paired with weight distribution, those numbers climb to 10,000 lbs GTW and 1,000 lbs TW, giving you plenty of margin for towing small campers, boats, or utility trailers. The 2" x 2" receiver opening fits the most common ball mounts, bike racks, and cargo carriers you’ll find, so you can switch between towing and carrying gear without adapters.

Built Solid to Last: Fully Welded Steel and Dual-Coat Protection

You can tell this hitch is ready for years of use the moment you pick it up. The precision, robotic welding locks everything together for maximum strength and a perfect fit to the frame. A gloss black powder coat finish sits over a protective base coat to fight off rust and corrosion from weather, road grime, or salt. That round-tube design adds a clean look under the bumper while giving the hitch extra rigidity where it matters most.

No Shop Needed: Bolt-On Install with All Hardware Included

You don’t need special tools or a welder to get this one on. The hitch bolts right to the frame using factory mounting points—no drilling or welding required. Everything you need for installation comes in the box, right down to the hardware and step-by-step instructions. It’s designed so anyone with a driveway and a socket set can get it done in an afternoon and be ready to tow.

2 Thumbs up!!

I'm rating service so far. I have not even opened the package. My wife is giving this to me for Christmas. So, I will write another review after Christmas. I did not want to wait to rate the service. These folks are top notch! They matched a competitor's price without question. They emailed me every step of the way and let me know where my item was in shipment. They even offered to provide me with another product they had in stock if I did not want to wait for mine to be shipped to them and then shipped to me. I will definitely order again for my next truck or one of my 4 boys' trucks as they come of age. I will tell everyone looking for their products to shop here based on customer service.

Item installed in about 10 - 12 minutes. It took longer to get it out of the box and find my wrench than to actually install the hitch. I did not need to lower my factory spare. Installation might have taken less time, but the truck faced West and the morning sun was in my eyes. 6 bolts/nuts and done. Great part and great customer service.

So far so good

Fairly simple installation.
Weight distribution along frame is excellent. I have a 6 x 12’ box trailer fully loaded that pulls easily with receiver hitch

Just installed 2 days ago and so far so good

by:

Hitch was easy to install and it fit well. I did the work by myself and it took about an hour. Would have been easier and quicker with a second pair of hands. Hitch looks good.

by:

Solid unit with simple installation. Unfortunately the bolt holes didn’t line up correctly on my vehicle. I went back and verified that I ordered the model that was made for my vehicle, so I wonder if it’s a systemic problem or a manufacturing defect.

Thank you for your review. This hitch is a fit for the 2004 Ford F-150 Heritage Series. It sounds like the hitch is flexed from shipping. I have attached a helpful article that shows how to flex the hitch back into place. It is a common issue.

by:

My hitch installed in less than 20 minutes and was a perfect fit. Shipping was quick and the notifications I received from George at etrailer were very helpful and professional. I'll likely buy from trailer for my next truck.

  • Which Curt Class III Trailer Hitch Receiver Should I Get For My 1999 Ford F-150 Pickup?
The only differences in the 3 Curt Trailer Hitch Receivers # 13355, # C13038 and # 13359 for your 1999 Ford F-150 XL Flairside, is the construction and shape of the receiver cross tube and mounting plates. Of these 3 I would choose the Receiver # C13038. The reason I prefer the Receiver # C13038 is its basic design. The cross tube is straight steel square tubing, this is much stronger than tubing that has a bend in it and the welding area of the square tubing is more than the same outer...

  • What Is The Width Of The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver 13359?
I had our warehouse measure the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13359 you were looking at and it measures 33-1/2" wide from the center of the left bolt hole to the center of the right bolt hole as shown in the included diagram. I included a link to the written instructions of the # 13359 for you to take a look at.

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver and Other Parts to Tow a Trailer with a 2000 Ford F-150
I've linked all of the available trailer hitch receivers that fit your 2000 Ford F-150. Of the selection I recommend the Curt # 13359. It's a complete bolt-on installation and fits both the standard and stepside trucks. It also allows the full-size 20 inch spare tire to remain in place. I've linked the install details for you. If you also need trailer wiring you can add a 4-way using # C56031 if you have a standard bed or # C55344 for a Flareside. These both plug in behind the tail...
