Question:
I narrowed search to two hitches that fit my car 2010 Honda Accord ex-L seadan. Both are manufactured by Curt and say they will fit. Aside from having a different shaped bar I cannot tell the difference or benefit of one over another. Is there anything you see that makes one better or why theyre different? Curt 11085 Curt 11496

Both hitches are a confirmed fit for your Accord. The only difference between the two hitches you mentioned, the # C11085 and the # C11496 is that the # C11085 fits against the underside of the vehicle more cleanly. It wraps around the spare tire well, rather than passing under it like the # C11496 does. This also allows the receiver tube to sit closer to the underside of the bumper. This would give you a very slight advantage in ground clearance. Also, the # C11085 is a few dollars less expensive. Other than that, both hitches have the same capacity and both would install in the same manner.
I'd go for the # C11085 because of the lower price and the nicer fit.
If you'll be using the hitch for towing purposes, you'll need a few other items to complete your towing setup:
Trailer wiring harness, part # 118420
Ball mount, part # C45521
Trailer ball, part # A-80 for a 1-7/8 inch or # A-82 for a 2 inch
