Expert Reply:
The Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System # TGMRC55 that you referenced have been confirmed to fit the 2008 Chevrolet Kodiak 5500.
These jounce-style suspension enhancement springs will help provide a level ride for your RV if the rear of the motor home is sagging under a heavy weight load. No drilling is required to install the springs, and I have attached the installation instructions for you.
If you are looking to improve the ride quality of your RV, another component I recommend is the Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar for Motor Homes # RM-1109-157. This anti-sway bar is confirmed to fit the 2008 Kodiak 5500 both with or without the Granning Air Ride. An anti-sway bar will help minimize sway and driver fatigue by working to improve the stability and drivability of the RV. The installation instructions for the # RM-1109-157 are also linked for you.
I have attached a help article on Timbren suspension enhancement as well as stability control for heavy-duty vehicles for you.
