have 1998 dodge ram 1500 pickup have a 4-way wired in back was gonna put your 7+4way kit ETBC7 on with a trailer brake controller.. my pickup dont have factory plug in under dash anywhere.. would I splice into brake light switch in cab for brake pedal with red wire from brake controller??? thanks!

When wiring up the red wire of the brake controller you will need to find a circuit that only sees voltage when the brakes are applied and then none when released.
Typically this is found near the brake pedal. You would need to use a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 (or what comes with the # ETBC7) to find this circuit.
You can also use the third brake light circuit that runs to the top of the cab like you mentioned as well.
I attached a install video that shows the # ETBC7 being installed in a very similar 1999 Dodge Ram as yours.
