Replacement Lock for TransIt Hitch-Mount Bike Rack

Question:

I have a TransIt hitch bike rack and i lost the lock that goes on the thru-hitch bolt. Do you have this item? Thanks

I was able to find some information about the TransIt hitch-mount platform style bike racks in my research but not about the specific type of hitch pin or lock they use. Most bike rack manufacturers use their own unique proprietary bolts/locks with unique threads and these are usually NOT interchangeable with products from other makers. If your rack came with a threaded anti-rattle hitch bolt/lock then your best bet it to get an exact replacement from the manufacturer. Unfortunately I had no luck finding a website for the manufacturer.

If the pin is NOT threaded you can use a standard hitch lock like # e98879 and cable lock # e98891 for 1-1/4 inch receiver. For a 2 inch receiver use # HRLHPC2.
