What is the load limit for the adapter bar?

According to SportRack, the capacity of their Frame Adapter Bar # SR0500 is 35 lbs. I've checked with our other bike rack manufacturers such as Thule, Yakima, Kuat and Swagman among others, and have found that the 35 lb capacity is typical.
Over the years, we've found that the Swagman adapter bar, part # 64005 is the easiest to use.
